The Chalet

Chalet Marron is a comfortable and well laid out chalet with lots of space for your group, which is rare to find in self catered properties. It ideally suits 8 – 10 adults with space to add a few extra kids. We do not recommend you take the house for more than 8-10 adults.

There is a 80m lounge diner with balcony on two sides. The area has plenty of comfortable seating for everyone and a log burning stove with free wood provided. There is a dining table for seating 10 comfortably with space to add a couple of chairs. The kitchen is well equipped to enable you to bring in a catering team should you require. The large breakfast bar has seating for 8.

Sleeping areas are as follows and can be adapted to suit your specific needs:

Room 1 on the entrance level has 2 x 90cm which can be configured to a 180cm bed and can take a cot or small bed , balcony with views of mountains . It has a walk in shower and basin , and plenty of storage in the walk in dressing room. The WC is located next to the bedroom in hall.

Room 2 is also on the entrance level and has 2 x 90cm beds, which can be configured into a 180cm king sized bed. It also has a built in handmade oak bunk which is suitable for child or small adult. Even using 3 beds there is still plenty of space for a cot or child bed. Plenty of storage, balcony with limited views. The bathroom is located next to the bedroom and has full sized bath, walk in shower, wc and basin.

Room 3 is located on level -1 and has 2 x 90 cm which can be configured to a 180cm bed. There is also a sofa bed with a pull out . With the second 80 cm bed pulled out there is limited floor space. It has plenty of storage and a small bathroom with a shower over the small bath, a WC and basin. Plenty of storage and its own door accessing the garden via a balcony. (ideal for a family with young kids).

Room 4 is the mezzanine area, galleried above the lounge. It has 2 snug areas under the eaves one with a 160cm bed on the floor, and one with 2 x 90 beds on the floor. Both areas are curtained off. There is also a lit gigogne which can make 160cm bed that can positioned in the centre of the mezzanine offering more head height but less privacy if the lounge is in use. It has a small shower room with shower, basin and wc. This means you can in theory put all the kids up together.

Outside of the winter season, we have a small garden flat of around 35m that can be rented alongside the chalet, perfect for another 2- 3 guests. It has its own bathroom with bath and shower, plus a little kitchenette sleeping cabin with a double bed and also a sofa bed in the lounge.

What’s included

We hope to have created a home from home feeling , so you will find all of the following in the chalet.

2 large fridge freezers, inductions hobs, oven , microwave, magimix, Nespresso machine, kettle, cafetiere with filters , raclette & fondue machines , herbs, spices and oils . Plenty of storage cutlery, glassware, crockery and serving items.

Basic cleaning products bin bags, loo rolls etc, firewood and kindling, tea Towels.

Quality feather bedding with 100% cotton linen. Towels, hand towels and bathmats ( allergy free options available) Hairdryers in all bathrooms.

Baby cots and linen, highchairs, gates, cutlery, boosters seats, toys, change mat , bath , monitor.

Kids toys games books puzzles and sledges.

Washing machine and Tumbledryer.

Gas Bbq and garden furniture in the summer.

Safety equipment such as smoke detection throughout, c02 alarm , smoke blankets and extinguishers.

Other things to note

The chalet is accessed via a steep slope which is kept clear by our friendly neighbours. We do not recommend you tackle it in ski boots.

The parking is located around 100m away on the road up to the station. You can stop briefly to unload and load taking care not to block the road. You can cut through bekind the church on foot to the parking.

During the winter, July and August we run Sunday / Sunday reservations in order to avoid the busy roads and get cheaper transfers. In January and low season we are very flexible on arrival /departure days and duration. Minimum 2 nights.

Due to the large amount of cleaning involved, we do not normally allow pets in this property.

Please bring slippers or interior shoes with you , especially in winter.

We charge a €120 fee per reservation which covers the preparation and sanitation of the chalet. It also covers the deep clean at the end of your stay. It takes us around 6 hours to change the chalet over, so we ask that you follow our check out guide to avoid additional cleaning fees ( charged at €25 per hour ) .

There is a €100 fee per reservation for the linen rental which includes bed linen and towels and the beds made on arrival.

Refundable damage deposit of €1000 payable on arrival by cash, credit card or credit card pre authorisation. Returned on day of check out
